Our Langford - Door Shop location is currently looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual for the position of Receiving Lead Hand. The Receiver prepares products for display and ensures accurate processing of inbound materials. Together with other team members, the Receiver works to exceed customer expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
  • Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as top priorities
  • Check merchandise and supply deliveries for accuracy
  • Receive incoming freight into system
  • Tag product for special orders
  • Communicating with vendors
  • Re-orders of Credits
  • Oversee and collaborate with physical recievers
  • Counting and scanning is a must to maintain accuracy of inventory
  • Department cleanliness and store maintenance
  • Receive, store, organize and rotate stock
  • Maintain accuracy of inventory by thoroughly reviewing packing slips
  • Continually strive to achieve company objectives regarding productivity and customer service
  • Ensure a positive and safe working environment 

Job Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience will be considered an asset
  • Broad knowledge of building supplies and home improvement products
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work rotating shift, including evenings
  • Forklift Experience considered beneficial
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective communication skills and ability to read and speak English
  • Physical requirements include:
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
    • Sitting, driving and standing for long periods of time
    • Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
