THE OPPORTUNITY:

Slegg Building Materials Langford is currently seeking a full time Door Manufacturer to help in our Door Shop to manufacture, produce, and assemble all types of doors including custom doors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
  • Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as top priorities
  • Produce and manufacture doors using machines and tools
  • Comply with all safety requirements
  • Use of power tools
  • Painting, staining, and finishing doors
  • Prepare and distribute materials for production t ensure efficient manufacturing
  • Read work orders over before beginning door production manufacturing to ensure you have all necessary information
  • Understand machine processes, paperwork systems and quality standards
  • Assist with coordination of workflow within manufacturing plant and supply chain to expedite production
  • Ensure product is correct to B.O.M.
  • Record any product used that is not on B.O.M. on face of work order
  • Advise supervisor of low inventory or other product concerns
  • Keep work area organized and free of debris at the end of the day
  • Various other duties as required or directed by management

Job Requirements

REQUIRED SKILL AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A broad knowledge of building supplies is necessary
  • Detail orientated with disciplined work habits
  • Strong safety background
  • Physically demanding
  • Effective written and oral communication skills (Ability to speak, read and write in English)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Good knowledge of basic mathematics
  • A positive can do attitude is essential
