Overview:

Currently we are seeking highly motivated, and customer focused individual for the position of inside sales. The successful applicant will be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with existing and potential new customers who visit and call the branch. They will demonstrate excellent customer service skills as they work with each of our customers to help them determine their needs.

The successful candidate will be very efficient, able to multi task, have an exceptional attention to detail and able to complete order entry into our computer system in a timely and efficient manner. The inside sales representative will be part of the sales team maintaining current business and proactively searching for opportunities to increase sales and our customer base on the phone and when customers come into the location.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting customers and providing customer service
• Selling construction materials to contractors and retail customers
• Working with the inside sales team offering support to walk in customers.
• Answering phone calls to take orders and answer a wide variety of questions.
• Data entry of the order.
• Double checking orders to ensure accuracy.
• Working in a fast paced environment
• Communicating with the shipping department any customer needs or delivery instructions

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Building material experience preferably drywall, shingles and or insulation products
• Sales experience
• Experience with a POS computer system
• Proven track record of being reliable
• Ability to multi task
• Excellent customer service skills
• Well-spoken on the phone and in person
• Detail orientated
• Work well with a team
• Basic computer skills
• Positive attitude
• Good written skills
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
